Northwood Elementary School Murals
In early 2022, I was commissioned to design and paint a series of murals throughout the bathrooms at Northwood Elementary School in Roswell, Georgia. This was one of my largest projects to date and was so much fun! I really love working with kids.
Each set of murals has a theme based on nature and how it relates to the hallway themes designated by school staff members. The school murals also contain positive affirmations painted backwards that the students can read while looking at themselves in the mirror. This was a big hit with the kids! They loved "decoding" the secret messages.
Mural Coloring Pages
As an extra fun bonus, I also made several coloring pages corresponding to the school mural designs. I gave the digital files to the art teacher so she can reprint them as much as she wants.
Artist Day Presentation
After the murals were completed, I was invited to give a presentation during Northwood’s Artist Day to all of the 4th graders, teaching them about my process and inspiration. At the end of the presentation, I gave them a grid method exercise to learn more about mural painting techniques.
Northwood Image Gallery
Following are images of all of the murals painted at Northwood Elementary. They are about 3.5 feet tall and span the width of the walls in each bathroom.
