In April of 2020, during the early weeks of the COVID-19 shutdown, I was commissioned by the City of Brookhaven, Georgia to paint a mural that would encourage community solidarity during these difficult times. Working closely with Mayor John Ernst, I designed the mural to reflect his vision of the phrase “We Are All Together” encircled within a stained glass pattern which is inspired by a children’s sidewalk chalk art trend that has been popular during the pandemic. The mural is located alongside a very busy road just a few miles north of the City of Atlanta, and has received much social media attention and local press coverage.
